Legacy BIG-IP 1500 and 3400
The BIG-IP 1600 and 3600 replaced the legacy BIG-IP® 1500 (platform ID C36) and BIG-IP 3400 (platform ID C62). F5 announced End of Sale for the 1500 and 3400 effective August 1, 2009. Both platforms reached End of New Software Support on 8/01/2011, End of Software Development on 8/01/2012, End of Support Contract Renewal on 7/31/2015, and End of RMA and End of Technical Support on 7/31/2016.
F5’s recommended replacements: Local Traffic Manager (LTM) 1500 → LTM 1600 (F5-BIG-LTM-1600-4G-R), Link Controller 1500 → Link Controller 1600 (F5-BIG-LC-1600-4G-R), Global Traffic Manager (GTM) 1500 → GTM 1600 (F5-BIG-GTM-1600-4G-R), LTM 3400 → LTM 3600 (F5-BIG-LTM-3600-4G-R), and Application Accelerator 3400 → WebAccelerator 3600 (F5-BIG-WBA-3600-4G-R).
