You can’t secure what you can’t see. Your people are already using AI whether anyone approved it or not. Your developers are shipping agents that call tools on their own. Every one of those interactions is a new place for data to leak or a prompt to go sideways, and most shops have no idea how many of them happen in a day. The F5 AI Security Platform is how you find out, lock it down at runtime, and keep testing it as the attacks change.
Looking for F5 AI Gateway content? We’ve moved our AI Security guidance here — Workforce AI Security, AI Guardrails, and AI Red Team — so you get the current stack we design and support. Talk to us if you need help mapping an older Gateway deployment to what’s available now.
WorldTech IT is the services partner that makes it work in your environment. We design, deploy, and support F5 Workforce AI Security, F5 AI Guardrails, and F5 AI Red Team with the same US-based engineers who already run your BIG-IP, NGINX, and F5 Distributed Cloud footprint. We’re F5’s 2024 North America Partner of the Year, a top-tier F5 Guardian Partner, and an F5 AI Gateway design partner.
Talk to a WorldTech IT engineer about F5 AI Security
One platform, three jobs
Here’s the thing I keep telling customers: securing AI is not a model problem. It’s an infrastructure problem with a new attack surface bolted on top. F5 built the AI Security Platform around three jobs that map to that reality.
| Job | F5 product | The question it answers |
|---|---|---|
| See | F5 Workforce AI Security | Who in my organization is using which AI tools, agents, and MCP servers, and for what? |
| Protect | F5 AI Guardrails | How do I stop prompt injection, jailbreaks, and data leakage at runtime, for every model, without rewriting every app? |
| Prove | F5 AI Red Team | How do I know my defenses still hold next week, after the models, prompts, and attackers have all moved? |
The three feed each other. Discovery from Workforce AI Security tells Red Team what to attack. Red Team findings become Guardrails policy. Guardrails telemetry shows up back in discovery. Our job is to stand that loop up, tune it to your policies, and keep it running after the project team goes home.
F5 Workforce AI Security
The problem it solves
Most organizations have no inventory of their AI usage. Every survey on the topic lands in the same place: more than half of employees use AI tools nobody signed off on, and what they paste in includes source code, customer records, and regulated data. That’s shadow AI, and it spreads faster than any policy document can keep up with.
What F5 delivers
- Passive, agentless discovery of sanctioned apps, private models, and shadow AI across the network. No browser extensions, no endpoint agents, nothing to roll out to laptops.
- Intent classification. Every interaction gets tagged with what the person was trying to do (“summarization,” “code generation,” and so on), so you can tell productive use from risky use instead of blocking everything and getting yelled at.
- Agent action controls. Tool calls across MCP servers and supported agent frameworks are inspected and classified, with policy applied before the action runs.
- Enforceable governance. Block or redact sensitive content at the egress and keep a full audit trail for the regulators who will eventually ask.
What WorldTech IT does
We scope the deployment, place discovery in the right traffic paths (on-prem, cloud, or both), and sit with your security team through the first 30 days of findings so the inventory turns into actual policy instead of a scary spreadsheet. Our engineers already know how your F5 Distributed Cloud and BIG-IP traffic flows, which is exactly where this visibility has to live.
F5 AI Guardrails
The problem it solves
A policy document defines rules. It doesn’t enforce a single one of them. Without a runtime layer sitting in the traffic path, prompt injection is a matter of when, not if. It’s the number one risk on the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, and I’ve watched it take minutes, not days.
What F5 delivers
- Prompt injection and jailbreak defense without drowning you in false positives, backed by F5 Labs threat research that adds more than 10,000 attack patterns a month.
- Model-agnostic policy enforcement. One policy covers ChatGPT, Claude, and the open-source model running on GPUs in your own rack.
- Policy authoring in plain English, tailored by use case, region, and industry.
- Day-one compliance controls for PII leakage, PCI, PHI, and EU AI Act alignment.
- Deployment wherever your models live: public cloud, private cloud, on-prem, or SaaS.
What WorldTech IT does
Guardrails sit inline, which means they sit right next to your F5 AI Gateway and the rest of your application delivery stack. We integrate Guardrails with the gateway, write the first policy set from your real use cases, run it in audit mode, and graduate the rules you trust into hard blocks. Then we keep tuning under Always-On support, because guardrails drift. A one-time review is stale within weeks.
F5 AI Red Team
The problem it solves
Static testing fails against moving targets. Models get swapped, system prompts get edited, and adversarial techniques change daily. If your last red-team exercise was a quarter ago, you don’t actually know your current posture. You know what it was.
What F5 delivers
- Automated adversarial testing with a swarm of agents trained on current techniques, simulating prompt injection and jailbreaks at a scale no human team can match.
- Agentic fingerprints that trace and explain every successful attack path, so you learn how and why an attack worked rather than just that it did.
- The F5 AI threat library, more than 10,000 monthly attacks, as the test corpus.
- Automated remediation that pushes what Red Team finds straight into F5 AI Guardrails policy. Zero-day gaps close in minutes instead of weeks.
What WorldTech IT does
We define the attack surface with you, schedule continuous red-team runs against your production AI systems, and own the remediation loop into Guardrails. Findings get documented, re-tested, and reviewed in your monthly Always-On check-in, so the evidence is already sitting there when audit season shows up.
Why WorldTech IT for F5 AI security
- We already run the systems AI runs on: Linux, Kubernetes, F5, Palo Alto Networks, Arista, and Red Hat. The same patching, hardening, documentation, and change control we apply there, we apply to the AI gateway, guardrails, and red-team layer.
- F5 named us its 2024 North America Partner of the Year, and we’re a two-time F5 Innovation Partner of the Year. Read the announcement.
- Our engineers are US-based, full-time, and F5-certified. Nothing is offshored or subcontracted. The buck stops with us.
- We cover the whole stack, from hardware through F5 Distributed Cloud to the model gateway, as Professional Services, Always-On, or Fully Managed Services. Pick the level of involvement you want.
- We co-host the F5 AI Guardrails and Distributed Cloud roadshow with F5 across North America and work directly with F5’s AI product teams as an AI Gateway design partner. We’re not reading the datasheet for the first time on your kickoff call.
How an engagement works
- Discovery workshop. Half a day with your security, platform, and AI teams to inventory current AI use, agents, and gateways, and pick the first use case.
- Design and deploy. Workforce AI Security placed for visibility, Guardrails integrated with your gateway, Red Team scoped to the first production target. Usually two to four weeks.
- Audit mode to enforcement. Policies run in observe mode, we review the hits together, and trusted rules graduate to block or redact.
- Continuous operations. Monthly Red Team runs, Guardrails tuning, CVE and release reviews, and 24x7x365 emergency support under Always-On.
